When he was 13, he joined the seminary at Pallipuram for his priestly training. While he was in the seminary, his parents and his eldest brother died of an epidemic. Saint Chavara was instrumental in founding two Catholic Religious Congregations - one for men, Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI), and the other for women, Congregation of Mother of Carmel (CMC), for the spiritual renewal and all round development of the society.
As a CMC educational institution, the school regards education as an integral formation of the human person for the fulfilment of her / his individual and social responsibilities. Hence special efforts are being made to help the students. Our school intends to shape every student to a wholesome personality, ensuring good character, a genuine spirit of love for humanity and service to fellow men as well as developing qualities of leadership, independent thinking and courageous approach to principles.
